Group Travel Ideas
Traveling with a group, family, friends, colleagues or people with similar interests, can be a great way to see the world. Sharing travel experiences can make it more fun and it is a wonderful way to make memories.
Here are some ideas for group travel:
Cruises:
I have sent many groups on cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean and Europe. A cruise works because everyone can do the excursions they like and they can all meet for dinner. Or if some just want to stay on the ship, they can do that while others leave and explore. This is ideal for birthday and anniversary celebrations, graduations and family reunions. It is also perfect when multi-generational families are taking various ages on the trip as most ships have spaces for kids and spaces designated as “adults-only”. And I can usually add extra special amenities like specialty dining or onboard credits.
Special Interest Travel:
Traveling with people who have similar interests is always fun. Book clubs can visit a place they have read about. Wine clubs can travel to the places where their favorite wines are made. Cooking clubs can take cooking classes in the country of their favorite cuisine. Religious groups can do heritage tours around the world.
Reward Trips:
Do you work for a company that rewards its employees with travel? Offering a vacation as an incentive for meeting sales goals or bringing in new business. Another idea is to offer reward trips to extra special clients, as an incentive to work with your company more. My parents used to get rewarded with vacations around the world when they owned a tire business. They loved to have these trips and they also got to meet other people from around the country that were also in the tire business to share ideas.
Group Travel Tour Companies
There are many companies that offer group travel for either solo travelers or people who want to join a pre-formed group. Steve and I just did this on Adventures by Disney, where there were 6 different families, who did not know each other, and did the tour to China together. This was fun as we all came from different parts of the USA and were different ages, but we all wanted to see China and we had a blast together.
There are many ways to do group travel, either with your own group, or with a group of strangers, who will most likely become friends. Do you have an idea of a group of people you would like to travel with or a place you would like to explore with a group? I would love to speak with you to help you plan this trip.
