I Help Clients Achieve Their Travel Goals

Many people have a travel “bucket list” or a travel “kick the bucket list”. I like to call this their travel goals. They have places they long to visit and adventures they want to take. And it is my job to help them achieve these goals.

In order to do this, I need to be sure that everyone who has a say in the decisions is involved in the planning. Whether this is the spouse or partner, the adult children who will be going on the trip or the group of friends who will be vacationing together. It is essential that all decision makers feel a part of the planning so everyone knows what to expect.

Next, it is vital that I know what everyone wants to achieve on this adventure. Do they want to hike mountains, sightsee at historical monuments, laze by the pool or at the beach or enjoy food and wine tours. Or does each participant want to do something different, so I have to present a few itinerary options.

I also need to know why they want to achieve this vacation goal? Do they love to scuba dive and want to dive in all of the great waters? Do they want to do a heritage trip where they visit the place they came from? Or do they want to eat in Michelin Star restaurants throughout the world?

Using all of this information helps me to start creating an itinerary that meets or exceeds their needs. As I always say, “I provide, you decide”. I need to be able to collaborate with my clients to be sure they are getting the exact experience they want. I also say that this is their vacation, not mine, so I want them to tell me if I am hitting the mark or if changes need to be made. I work with my travel partners to tweak an itinerary until it is perfect.
